MOST RECENT LETTER TO THE HON'BLE PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA BY NBNS WITH ISSUE OF INFILTRATORS AND REFUGEE , CONGRATULATING NEW GOVT.

To

The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India,

Government of India,

South Block,

New Delhi – 1

Subject: Pleas to expel illegal Bangladeshi Muslim infiltrators from India and render “Refugee” status to
persecuted, routed Bangladeshi Hindus, Buddhists and Christians in India

Dear Sir,

We, at the onset, with due respect, would like to assert that our organization “Nikhil Banga Nagarik Sangha” is committed to uphold basic human rights of people and therefore, has been working as a Human Rights Group ever from the inception. From its formal inception on November 23, 1977, the organization has been working on to establish human rights of minority people persecuted and evicted from modern day Bangladesh.

It must be stated with conviction, the victory of Bharatiya Janata Party under your leadership as the worthy successor of Bharatiya Jana Sangh established by Dr. Syhamaprasad Mukherjee has elated Hindu refugees and Hindus living in Bangladesh highly. We, in this context, do express our heartiest congratulations to You Sir. Being grass roots activists, we deem the triumph of Nationalism in this election. Hence, we, brutal victims of two-nation theory, have lots of aspirations to you.

The saga of illegal infiltration of Muslims from East Pakistan (then) into north-east India commenced with the partition of India in 1947 through two-nation theory.  Due to this relentless and ever-rising infiltration through decades, Assam has turned into a state dominated by Islamists virtually. The situation in the Indian state of West Bengal is also highly precarious; thanks to the illegal infiltration, districts of Bengal adjacent to the India-Bangladesh international border have turned into Muslim-majority zones. The population of Muslims, at the moment, in Bengal is around 30%, if not more. Without a shred of doubt, these illegal infiltrators have become a nemesis to the political, social, economic scenario and also sovereignty of India.

Even since pre-1947, inhuman persecution of religious minority communities at the behest of government has been a common trait in East Pakistan (then) or Bangladesh (now). According to reports, 13 lakh hectare of Hindus have been snatched from them there by Islamists and in various ways. Now, as a result, 8% Hindus live in Bangladesh and this number is also on the wane fast.

We, therefore, do demand expulsion of illegal Bangladeshi Muslim infiltrators right away and rendering the status of “Refugee” as enshrined in the Constitution of India to the hapless, persecuted minority Hindus, Buddhists and Christians in Bangladesh. It is our earnest request to you to raise the issue in the United Nations and implement United Nations’ Refugee Laws related laws in this respect.

We hope that this mail will find you hale and hearty and also expect that after decades of persecution these innocent people will get a new way of living under your brawny leadership.

Thanking you,

Your’s truly,

Subhash Chakraborty
